In just one week, women from across the handpan community will meet at Peace Temple in New York for Super Bloom Women’s Handpan Gathering 2026.
Our announcement may be arriving later than usual, but perhaps that makes it even more exciting. The instruments are being prepared, travel plans are coming together, and the final countdown has already begun.
Namana Bags® has supported Super Bloom since 2020, and this year we are happy to continue the tradition with a very special custom-made raffle gift.
A Gathering Created for Women
The Super Bloom Women’s Handpan Gathering will take place from September 3–6, 2026, at Peace Temple Eco Sanctuary near Hancock, New York.
Super Bloom welcomes women-identifying handpan players, enthusiasts, and those who are simply curious about the instrument. Owning a handpan is not required, and all levels of experience are welcome — including complete beginners.
The handpan may be the guide, but the gathering is about much more than learning an instrument. It creates a safe and supportive space where women can slow down, explore their creative voices, learn from one another, and experience music without pressure or competition.
For someone attending a handpan gathering for the first time, Super Bloom can be a gentle introduction to the community. For experienced musicians, it offers an opportunity to reconnect, share knowledge, and discover new creative directions.
Why This Partnership Matters to Us
As a women-founded business, Namana Bags® feels a special connection with a gathering created by women, for women.
Our company began with one woman’s determination to create something that did not yet exist: a truly protective, practical, and comfortable case for a musical instrument. What started at home with a single sewing machine grew into an international brand whose cases now travel with musicians around the world.
We understand the importance of spaces in which women can exchange experience, develop their skills, support one another, and feel confident expressing their own ideas.
This is why supporting a women-centered handpan gathering feels especially meaningful to us. Super Bloom celebrates not only music, but also creativity, courage, mutual support, and the freedom to find one’s own voice.

Music, Learning, and Time to Breathe
Super Bloom combines organized activities with enough open space to rest, connect, and enjoy the land.
The weekend program includes:
- handpan workshops;
- concerts;
- an open mic;
- fireside jam sessions;
- yoga and movement;
- hiking;
- creative activities and soul-crafts;
- pond plunges and sauna;
- time for relaxation and connection.
This balance is one of the qualities that makes the gathering distinctive.
A festival does not have to fill every minute to create something meaningful. Sometimes the most important moments happen between scheduled activities: during a conversation after a workshop, beside the fire, on a quiet walk, or in an unplanned jam where nobody needs to lead.
The 2026 Facilitators
The 2026 gathering welcomes internationally recognized handpan musician Mar Loi, who will travel from Spain for her first visit to Peace Temple.
Mar Loi is a performer, composer, educator, and co-founder of Barcelona’s Singading Festival. Her work combines technique, sensitivity, experimentation, and a deeply personal approach to sound. As both an artist and teacher, she has shared the handpan through concerts, workshops, courses, and masterclasses around the world.
She will be joined by Sofi Dias, a Miami-based multi-instrumentalist, handpan player, and teacher. Sofi combines formal musical education with experience in performance, sound healing, and community music projects.
The organizing and facilitating team also includes Marina, Holly, and Super Bloom founder Sarah Paz Hyde.
Each brings a different perspective to the weekend: handpan education, voice exploration, yoga, creativity, movement, community building, and the use of music as a way to reconnect with oneself.
Peace Temple Eco Sanctuary
Super Bloom returns to Peace Temple, a private off-grid eco sanctuary in the Catskill Mountains near Hancock, New York.
The venue includes a large covered community space with a fireplace, a yurt for classes and workshops, a communal kitchen and dining area, camping grounds, shared sleeping spaces, cabins, a swimmable pond, solar-powered showers, and extensive natural surroundings.
Peace Temple runs on solar energy and well water. Electricity and Wi-Fi are limited, encouraging participants to step away from their usual routines and spend more time with the people and environment around them.
It is not a conventional festival venue — and that is part of its character.
Super Bloom is closer to an immersive retreat than a large public music event. Participants stay for the weekend, share vegetarian meals, attend workshops, play music, and become part of a temporary community.
Our Custom Gift for Super Bloom 2026
This year, Namana Bags® created an entirely custom-made raffle set especially for Super Bloom:
- one ST-H02+syn handpan case;
- two matching decorative cushions;
- custom colorful Super Bloom Women’s Handpan Gathering embroidery on all three pieces.
The deep blue case features a vertical front pocket and two mesh pockets on the back. Its central pocket is decorated with a colorful Super Bloom flower surrounding a handpan — the same design is repeated on both cushions.
Every part of the set was produced specifically for the gathering. It is not a standard item taken from stock, but a gift created for this particular community and occasion.
The handpan case alone is valued at $376. Together with the two custom embroidered cushions, the total value of the raffle gift is more than $400.
For us, however, its meaning goes beyond its monetary value. The set represents our long-standing relationship with Super Bloom and our belief in supporting spaces where women can learn, create, and grow together.
One participant will soon take this unique Namana Bags® set home — a protective case for her instrument and two matching reminders of the Super Bloom community.
When a Real Case Enters an AI-Created World
This year, we also decided to experiment with a new way of presenting our festival gift.
Using the real Super Bloom case as the central reference, we created a short video with the help of artificial intelligence. The case itself is real — designed, embroidered, and sewn by the Namana Bags® team — while the world around it has been transformed through AI.
The result is unusual, imaginative, and a little magical. It gives our handcrafted case a new setting while preserving the product and the story behind it.
We love exploring how traditional craftsmanship and new creative technologies can meet. One begins with fabric, thread, hands, and years of experience. The other opens a door to environments that may exist only in the imagination.
Supporting Super Bloom Since 2020
Our relationship with Super Bloom began in 2020, when the gathering itself was just starting its journey.
Since then, we have watched the community grow through photographs, videos, raffle moments, and stories shared with us from across the ocean.
Although we cannot always be physically present, every case we create for the gathering carries a part of our team with it. It leaves our workshop, travels to New York, and eventually continues its journey with the person who wins it.
That is one of our favorite parts of a festival partnership.
We are not simply sending a product. We are helping an instrument and its musician travel safely toward future workshops, performances, retreats, and friendships.
More Than a Handpan Festival
Super Bloom is built around the idea that music can help people hear not only one another, but also themselves.
Its workshops and concerts matter, but so do its quieter values: participation, respect for nature, care for the body and mind, creative expression, sustainable living, and holding space for personal growth.
The gathering also operates a community-supported scholarship initiative intended to make attendance more accessible to women who may otherwise be unable to participate.
This reflects something important about the spirit of Super Bloom: community is not simply a word placed on a festival poster. It requires practical support and a willingness to help others enter the circle.
One Week to Go
The Super Bloomers will be gathering very soon.
At this point, most preparations have already been made. The program is taking shape, the venue is waiting, and participants are getting ready to travel to Peace Temple.
