Namana’s ongoing partnership with one of the handpan community’s most beloved gatherings near Berlin, Germany.
Namana & Pangonia
We’ve known Pangonia’s founder, Robert, since 2019, when he ordered a custom Namana case for his own handpan. He still travels with it today.
The first time we came to Pangonia was in 2024. Back then, the festival lived in a small, cozy spot outside Berlin: not much space, but full of warmth. Green grounds by the river, a small stage, and a feeling that everyone there knew exactly why they’d come.
We remember parking far from the entrance (a good call, since space near the gate was already packed with campers) and walking alone along a forest path with no signs to guide the way. A couple appeared, walking the opposite direction, and something about the calm and warmth they carried told us we were headed the right way. That’s who comes to Pangonia.
Pangonia’s soul has always felt like a forest spirit: quiet, warm, a little wild. And this year, that spirit seems to be stepping into the light. Some of this year’s invitations were filmed by people wearing masks, an avatar of sorts for whatever it is that lives in these woods. We don’t know its name yet, but it has clearly arrived, and we can’t wait to meet it in person.
The festival itself has its own rhythm: concerts, workshops and jam sessions throughout the day, but no maker market, no vendors behind tables. Instrument makers simply rest and mingle like everyone else, testing instruments and recording collaborations with the artists around them.
Namana first supported Pangonia in 2024. In 2025, the festival moved to a new, more spacious location by Lake Mellensee, giving even more room for like-minded people to gather. We’re proud to be part of it again in 2026.
About Pangonia Handpan Festival 2026
Dates: 15 to 19 July 2026 (five days, the longest edition yet)
Location: Forest by Lake Mellensee, south of Berlin, Germany
Organizer: Robert Hoerning and the Pantopia e.V. team
This year’s lineup mixes established names and new voices: Quentin Kayser, Mar Loi, Nadishana, David Kuckhermann, Rob Ginero and Amarok are among the main artists, alongside an “Artist Rotation” format, an hour of four short, back-to-back concerts each with its own style. Workshops are strongly community-led: most are free and included in the ticket (handpan sessions, but also yoga, breathwork, cacao ceremony, drumming and more), with a few paid masterclasses for those who want to go deeper with a specific artist.
The festival runs from an opening ceremony on Wednesday evening to a closing ceremony on Sunday, with jam sessions, campfires and sauna every night in between.
The full festival ticket grants access from Wednesday, 15 July at 12pm, and the weekend ticket from Friday, 17 July at 12pm. Camping, parking, concerts, fire shows and most workshops are included in the ticket.
Full Festival Ticket (5 days): €160 for Pantopia e.V. members / super early bird (until end of January), €175 early bird (until end of March), €190 regular. Kids aged 6 to 13: €90.
Weekend Ticket (3 days, from Friday): €100 members / super early bird, €110 early bird, €120 regular. Kids aged 6 to 13: €60.
Single day passes are also available, from €30 (Wednesday) up to €60 (Saturday); a kids day pass is €20.
Food is booked separately this year: a full festival food package (breakfast and dinner, Wednesday to Saturday) costs €56, a weekend package €28, and single dinner tickets €14 per evening. A kids space ticket and van camping spot can also be added when booking.

Namana's Contribution in 2026
Namana has supported Pangonia’s raffle before, and this year we’re sending two cases into the woods again:
A soft padded backpack in grey, with a roomy front pocket and Namana logo embroidery. Light and comfortable, made for someone who’s always on the move with their handpan: worth almost €300.
An armored backpack in black, with a front pocket and a special “I Love Handpan” embroidery, for someone who wears their love for the instrument proudly. Built to protect what matters: worth about €400.
Â
Both are already at the festival, waiting to find their new owners. Keep an eye on the “Win a Handpan” raffle slots on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, though the exact day for the Namana cases isn’t confirmed yet.
Festival Archive
When & where: 4 to 7 July 2024, a small forested spot outside Berlin. Pangonia’s first year as a full festival, after starting out as a community gathering in 2023.
Namana’s donation: a canvas handpan backpack with a mesh bottom panel, donated to the festival raffle.
Result: we’re happy to know someone won our case and joined the Namana family, even if we didn’t get to meet them or take a photo together that year.
